Bruce Buley, PT, MA, OCS, CSCS received his physical therapy training at Downstate Medical Center in New York City and earned an advanced Master’s in physical therapy at UNC-CH. His 32 years of physical therapy experience have included treating patients with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, pediatric and sports-related problems, including foot disorders and orthotic fabrication. Bruce has served on the academic and clinical faculties of UNC and Medical College of Georgia. In 1999, he became a Certified Orthopedic Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and in 2002 became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Bruce received the 2002 “Excellence in Clinical Practice” award from the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association. He has also received clinical education awards from the Carolina Clinical Education Consortium in 1996 and from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2005. In 2006, Bruce became a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.
Nancy Reynolds, PT, MEd, SCS received her physical therapy degree from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y., and a Master’s degree in sports medicine/athletic training from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. Her 25 years of physical therapy practice have included treating patients with orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, geriatric and sports-related problems. Nancy has published research in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Clinics of North America, and has presented local and national talks on various musculoskeletal and sports related topics. Nancy became a Sports Certified Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 1993, and was re-certified in 2003. She has particular interests in osteoporosis and working with master athletes. Nancy enjoys her free time with her husband and dogs. Occasionally she gets in a round of golf.
Janet Snyder, BA, MPT, graduated from UNC-CH in August 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She was the recipient of the Judy Capps Beswick Certificate of Merit for Clinical Performance for her class. After graduation, Janet spent 3 years as a staff therapist in an outpatient clinic located in coastal North Carolina. While working at the coast, Janet was fortunate enough to be involved in the development of an innovative stroke rehabilitation program. This project led to the development of Saebo Inc. a company specializing in stroke rehabilitation and located in Charlotte, NC. Janet accepted a position as Director of Clinical Operations and Research Coordinator for Saebo, Inc. and was fortunate enough to work with a talented team of therapists for 2 years. Her desire to return to full time clinical practice led her back to Chapel Hill where she was very pleased to accept a position with Buley and Reynolds. She is a member of the APTA and NCPTA. Her continuing education interests include McKenzie training, Maitland manual therapy training and the pursuit of her orthopedic clinical specialist certification. Prior to her career in physical therapy, Janet worked in the video production / communication field. She enjoys travel, hiking and her 2 dogs, Duncan and Ozzie.
Sue Gray, Business Manager, joined Buley & Reynolds in January 2006. She came to the clinic after relocating from Maryland. Her prior experience includes 8 years of business management in a family owned and operated parts distributorship and more than 10 years of healthcare experience in the field of medical staff credentialing. She is the point person for insurance and patient billing matters and enjoys working with our patients to see their questions answered in those areas and many others.
Kristen Morgan, Front Desk Administrative Assistant, a native of North Carolina, joined Buley & Reynolds staff in May, 2006. She is the primary point of contact for those who call in to schedule and can help our patients with many other things as well. She keeps the front operations running smoothly while providing outstanding customer service to all who visit our clinic.
